Amazon.co.jpに至っては12000円!
What song do you wish would never show up on a karaoke list?
This is THE best qotd ever asked in Vox. It has been great to read all of the answers to this. I was surprised to see quite a few Voxers do not like karaoke at all. I also understood that in the US singing a song performed by a great singer like Stevie Wonder and Whitney Houston was not a good idea.
Someone wrote that "We Built This City" by Starship should never show up in a list, which reminded me that I'd try next time (I've never tried the song before).
So.... basically I love to see people singing whatever songs they like (next to seeing myself singing whatever I like, of course). Longer songs might be annoying sometimes, like Queen's.
Is this real? They are going to play at Coachella at Indio, CA? More important question is, can *I* make it?
Their MySpace page says:
William Reid left the group during the subsequent tour, and in 1999, the Jesus and Mary Chain officially disbanded. But the Jesus And Mary Chain are back - appearing at the Coachella Festival 2007.
And because I'm so tired of translation job, I watched a DVD I bought while ago but never had a chance to see. Cuba by Simply Red. Mick Hacknell certainly got old, but his voice is still clear and mellow.
I was 14 when I encountered Simply Red's Holding Back The Years on Japanese TV program. Since then he has been offering us good music for all these 20 years. I thought I was lucky to like the band, because it is surviving.
And then I found that many bands I "found" when I was 14 through 16 survives. Motley Crue has re-united, Guns and Roses, well, sort of, and Scritti Politti.
I found it interesting when I found Scritti Politti has just released their (better called his?) new album, when I decided to write this entry and started to "Organize" their albums from Amazon. I was so thrilled when I heard their Perfect Way on the same TV program, I bought a vinyl Cupid and Psyche 85 at that evening (note how brave the move was when the vinyl costed me a month earning for me). There was no CD player for me at that time of course. Green Gartside also is blessed in his voice. Scritti Politti must have had a hard life to survive, the last album was released seven years ago and not sold that well. I remember, when they (er, he) covered The Beatles' She's a Woman in a radio show, I was thrilled enough again to buy the CD (yes) in that evening. Then they released Take Me In Your Arms, which I bought immediately when it was released, and kept silent until the last album. These were all not sold well, and I thought Scritti Politti has been over. I am glad they, er, he still survives.
If only Jesus And Mary Chain would have survived...
ジーザスアンドメリーチェインが解散しなければな...。
Welcome to my life by Simple Plan, Kickstart my heart by Motley Crue, Get in the ring by Guns and Roses and Do they know it's Christmas by Band Aid. Sounds like the life of Bill Gates, doesn't it?
No matter what... Well for this season, I would say it's Pacific Island Music by Def Tech. Hey gang, allow me to put iTunes links in my Audio Collection!
Motley Crue "Girls, Girls, Girls" at Budokan. Tommy Lee took his drum set which could spin around 360 degrees. Tommy was said to have trained at NASA so he could continue beating his drum while spinning around.
I had the whole concert illegally tape-recorded, but when I came home and heard the tape, all I could hear was my yelling "Yeah! Wow! Crue! Crue!". Oooh, I should have had the tape saved.
